AFROSAI-E is a voluntary association of its members and is ruled by its own Statutes and by the respective regulatory provisions. AFROSAI-E has a Governing Board, which is the supreme authority of AFROSAI-E and has powers and responsibilities as set out in the Statutes. The Governing Board of AFROSAI-E consists of the heads of member SAIs and each Auditor-General is assigned to serve on one of the oversight subcommittees. The Secretariat, through a needs identification process, assists the Governing Board in setting its five-year Corporate Plan. The Corporate Plan guides the annual work plan and budget, the outcomes of which are reported annually in an Integrated Annual Report and Activity Report.
