AB has now been commissioned by Anglo Gold Ashanti to plan and develop a much bigger project at their MWS plant, near Klerksdorp and Anglo is potentially interested in doing the same at all of their mines. AB has also been commissioned to produce a feasibility study for South 32 for the production of Biofuel from crops grown on mine rehabilitated land. This Biofuel would replace fossil fuel in their vehicle fleets and could also be rolled out at all of their mines. In addition, AB is developing a hybrid biogas/biomass plant in the Eastern Cape to supply energy and bio-CNG to Mercedes-Benz and VW for their car assembly plants.
