I made an appointment for a Wednesday at 10:30am. Each consultation is allocated an hour. When I did, I made it clear to the receptionist that I have a job and I have to be home by 12, so I asked if consults run on time and it made sense to me when she said that they do. I drove half an hour to get there, in the rain I may add. I arrived at 10:20, filled in the forms and was asked for payment before the consultation. Before I paid I asked the receptionist if Dr Shaw was running on time and I was assured he was, with a tinge of impatience I may add. I paid and waited. At 10:40 I asked the receptionist when I'll be going in, and she said probably only at 11 because he is busy in a consult. She said that people are asked to arrive half an hour early so 10:30 actually means 11. I told her than in my world 10:30 means 10:30 especially since I explained my rush ample times. She refunded me without so much as eye contact or an apology and I left to drive another half an hour home in the rain. It was a very deflating experience.
