Salmon Potgieter Does NOT recommend ARC ! , brought us under FALSE PRETENSES, took payment, couldn't treat patient as agreed, refuse refund, ignore correspondence. Nor VERA who assisted us and not Even Ryan Barnard as quoted in previous review “as the founder of the facility, poured my heart and soul into doing my best to ensure that a clients experience at ARC is a positive one” has not even took time to address this by replying to me. I agree with previous comments on reviews "full of lies just to fill a bed "

I am exceptionally grateful for the grounded attention and firm compassion Ryan and his staff have shown. They have a long-term approach, and they have the network to hold the person in recovery steady in a way that they need to be held so that proper recovery for the addict can be built, and their lives re-established. They don't let addicts fall off the map. We are still in the middle of it, and have experienced different facilities with different approaches. The work ARC does is caring in an extraordinary and practical way.
I completed a 3 month program at ARC and during my stay there, coupled with excellent hospitality, I experienced absolute commitment from the full compliment professional treatment team! I am truly grateful for the journey I am now on thanks to everyone at ARC! I now have direction and work a thorough program and I am now an active member of society. Thank you!
Good Morning I just want to say i took my loved one there for a few problems. At first i was skeptic but after Ryan and Sean spoke to me keeping me update giving me spectacular service i became relaxed and i saw a BIG change in her and it is the first time she looks different and shes very positive. The first ten days was according to her very hard but very informative and a an eye opening for her she finds the program really great and are positive like never before. Further i just want to thank you guys for what you guys do there hope that you will stay blessed and be able to help people.
People there are quite rude and unwelcoming, especially at the reception. I got the feeling that they are obligated to be rude to those who aren't inpatients.
I am no client of ARC, but late in 2016 I nearly lost my mother to a dangerous and severe addiction to sleeping tablets. Unbeknown to my mom at that point I was at my wits end with worry and frustration and decided to take action. I called ARC. I cried. I poured out my heart and the sympathetic and caring way in which i was received will stay with me forever. The guidance and understanding that I received as the non client.... I knew I was divinely guided to this facility. On the 9th of December 2016 I helped my mom pack her bags and took her in a day earlier than originally planned. I'll never forget that day, burned into my memory for eternity, the overwhelming relief that my mom was in the best place she could be as I walked out of the gates I knew she was safe. I want to thank ALL the staff for their dedication, support and Love but especially Ryan for being passionate enough to house and rehabilitate our family members and loved ones. I want to thank you for my Mom. For guiding her through her addiction into the realisation of there being a better way to live, but more so, a REASON to live. I met someone I never knew and I am grateful for her every single day!! My mom, has been clean for nearly 14 months!!! I am proud of her and I applaud the people who represent ARC. I owe you all a great deal for bringing my mom back to me!!!
It was a Sunday afternoon in May 2013 when Ryan Barnard checked me into ARC. It was my 5th rehab and needless to say, I wasn't very optimistic. I didn't have any money left and my family had given up on me and my abuse. I remember asking Ryan if this rehabilitation centre was going to help me. He just smiled, handed me the Big Book and showed me to my room. Those 28 days saved my life. Ryan Barnard and ARC did for me what no other rehab could do. They taught me about my addiction and how to recover. They guided me with kindness and compassion. They took me to meetings and introduced me to people with the same problems as me. The nurses and councillors were professional. The doctor was always on call and available for us. I was fed amazing food, three times a day and my room was clean and comfortable. ARC and Ryan unlocked the door of addiction and guided me through it to my new clean and sober life. It's 5 years later and I am still clean and sober. Ryan still phones me to catch up. I still pop into ARC for a visit and a cup of coffee. I owe them my life and I will forever be grateful to ARC and Ryan.
