Visited the place 5/12/2020 with a group and it was an interesting and informative tour. Our tour guide even demonstrated how the people lived using the artefacts and explained everything thoroughly. Would definitely recommend.

Yes, This is an open air museum located outside Polokwane City AKA the City of Stars. Learn more about the architecture and the Bapedi s olden ways of living. They also have a short hiking trail which I am yet to explore. Covid Station is available and covid 19 rules are followed. Gideon is a very good guide who knows his story. Overall, you will enjoy the experience 5/5.

This place has a very rich history of the Bakwena people. They have reconstructed the Bakwena Royal home and it looks amazing

We visited on the 24/12/2019 and it was empty, which is so sad because the entrance fee is just R15. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Our tour guide was welcoming, informative and demonstrated some examples as well. our heritage and culture need to be preserved. so grateful for this place. Great place to visit with the whole family.

Bakone Malapa exhibits rich culture of Bapedi. The place teaches you about how people used to live and their security measures against wild animals. You'll learn more about the instruments that were used and for what purpose. It's a great place to sit and chill out as per our modern chill out culture in a great traditional setting. Perfect for a day out with family, friends or colleagues.

I enjoy this place every time I visit here. Always something new to learn about people who lived in this area a few centuries ago. The surrounding nature is so beautiful and the hike up the Bambo hill is a very special experience.
