A jewel. Welcome is warm and genuine. Lodge and the rooms are furnished with a sophisticated simplicity. Vast rooms, nice garden and ... great South African dishes. Fresh ingredients, salad is coming from the front yard, meat is prepared by the staff and if you are lucky you can have as well some game meat hunted by the family. Super clean. Wise and precise advises where to hike and what to discover around. A must.

What a peaceful escape at Baviaanskloof lodge with true South African hospitality. We escaped the city for 3 days, to find some tranquility and connect with nature. We truly did this here. Meals are absolutely awesome and served with a smile. A must stop for anyone going into the reserve or through the reserve. They have a few camp sites as you enter the reserve. Nice hike from there into the poortjies on the property or a hike up the mountain for a fantastic view of the valley.

Bit of a rough road but worth the trouble. Beautifull scenery along the way. This valley is magnificent. We were treated like royalty, had a lovely dinner and sumptious breakfast.

Very helpful staff who let us use their washing machine, rooms are clean and tidy thought I am not a huge fan of the artwork on the walls. Thank you for the great stay.

We had a great stay, a lovely home atmosphere. Staff was friendly and we had excellent dinner and breakfast. I highly recommend Baviaanskloof Lodge, for a three star it is tops. For adventure motorbike riders there is a lovely camp site on the farm at the start of the kloof.
