Try the day or night skating sessions (covid regulations) and experience the full joy of trying something new! The ice rink offers a few skating packages and prices, skate hire, skating assistance, as well as kiosk bar for all your drinks and snacks.

I am always skating at the ice rink and you know I have skated at almost all the ice rinks in South Africa and the Port Elizabeth ice rink is the best rink by far. I go skating every week and you know the people at this particular ice rink are so nice to you and they are so friendly to you. When you are skating you feel so free and there are little children and when they fall people gather round to help them get up. They have a good pro shop there and it is quite big. There is one thing this ice rink makes quite a bit of money so they should invest in some penguins for adults that will bring them a income incline. But just a suggestion

The ice is thick and hard
The ice rink is always in good condition. Weekday mornings is a good time to go if you are still learning as it's not so busy. They now have the little penguins that you can rent as support for the junior learners. It allow kids to walk/scate freely with confidence.

There should be separate Sessions, e.g Women and children or children on their own. 2nd Session men only, 3rd session speed skaters. Then couple skating
A little bit expensive, but overall very satisfying.
