A stunning piece of history that's been beautifully preserved with an option of a tour guide but to also go at ones own pace with a map. The lifesize mannequins are great for getting a feel for life during the late 1800s, early 1900s. A definite must-see at an incredibly low price.

One of the oldest houses in Port Elizabeth RSA. Now a museum. It was completed about 1830. The museum illustrates domestic life as it may have been enjoyed in the mid-19th Century. Give yourself enough time to browse each room and drink in the life way back when. A genteel life. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Children are encouraged to find items throughout the house. It is most instructive.

Such an interesting historical landmark. Has been restored beautifully and the upkeep hasn't slacked off. We had the privilege of being there at night to record a video for our YouTube channel with the cooperation of Bayworld, who actually owns the building. Definitely worth a visit during their operating hours.

Very educative on how the colonials used to live at the expense of the indiginous population.
