What was always for us Gems of the Bushveld on the R104 to Pecanwood is now Kearneys just off the Broederstroom intersection where the Sasol garage is. Some items in the menu were not available, but the Pizza and service was out of this world and comparing money and time..........

Always love this place! Local pub, very good beer selection, good food.
Lovely place to relax being in the open air and we were lucky to have live entertainment that added to the atmosphere
[Update Oct 2018] Name and location change. Originally 'Gem of the Bushveld', now 'Kearneys Gem'. This is the real deal. Don't get confused as 'Gem of Bushveld' is still trading in the original spot. The magic was always the people who worked here, and that hasn't changed. [Original Review] What a fabulous surprise to find on a Thursday night for dinner. Great people, scrumptious food, and reasonable prices. What more could one ask for. Described as a local pub, the travelers passing by don't know what they're missing. I have no hesitation recommending Kearneys Gem [once known as Gem of the Bushveld]
Good food, live music was late. Staff and owner are really friendly and fast.
