Its a very homey setting, just a little too small for my liking, the food is always worth the wait and the food is def worth the cost. Me and my family love the green thai chilli pasta

This place was much better run a few years back. Right now I don’t even know where to starts... Constant flies since we walked in hovering around us. Samoosas were oily. Food tasted old - my husband had the chicken and a chop with mostly fat on it. Dessert was served with ice cream that was already melted and we were just told sorry for the melted ice cream. Seriously they don’t take any pride in their food. We weren’t told that they don’t have card machines and with my 2% battery power I was forced to do an EFT. Then to top it off the manager kept screaming at the staff, and also kept coming to talk to us and got so close without wearing his mask. Even though we are in the midst of a pandemic. Was rather uncomfortable and underwhelming experience. Never again. Stay away \u200d️

Atlantic Express is the perfect place for a Breakfast Lunch in Sea Point, the restaurant is inside an old train so it feels like you onboard a vintage luxury train. The service is excellent and food is awesome. I’ve tried the Breakfast with Steak and most recently I tried the Chicken Burger, the burger was quite tasty and filling. We tried the pancakes for dessert and I chose the Banana Pancake with Ice Cream.

I bought one of those burger and pancake deals. These deals offer a venue the opportunity to showcase what they have to offer, with the hope that people will return to frequent the establishment. What could have been a unique experience of dining out in a train, was so underwhelming. The seating needed some serious steam cleaning, the burger patty was small and flat. The pancake was small and not appetizing at all. Sauces given were Steers sauces and other off the shelf sauces I buy at my local spice shop. Overall it was an experience we will not repeat and can't recommend to anyone. Such a pity.

A shadow of its former self... Place looks dilapidated, as is the lacklustre service. Went in for desserts today which were barely average. Also they apparently no longer have a POS system so the bill was scribbled on a till slip. And no card facilities... Requested an EFT payment! Give it a miss.
