Such a wonderful day out having a picnic on the lawn under the tree. The wine was amazing. I really enjoyed the Rose. The picnic platters were delicious!! R300 for the harvest platter and R150 for the cheese board.

Top class from the friendly greeting at the door through the beautiful views, fantastic food and service. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It is always refreshing to visit a restaurant where proper training have been given to staff as that can make or break an experience. All the waiters were super efficient and a special mention has to go to Jason for being a great host whilst making sure everything runs smoothly. We're just around the corner so will definitely visit again.

There is only one vegetarian option as a main - risotto. Not very imaginative. I ended up ordering 2 starters instead and potato chips. Oh my word, those chips!!!! I shall go back just for them. Tipple baked and beyond amazing. The dessert was REALLY great too. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our desserts. The meat eaters thoroughly enjoyed their fair, especially the pork and lamb chops.

Nice setting, good wine and coffee. Service friendly and polite, but very slow. Unimaginative menu. Buitenwerwachting used to have one of the best restaurants in the world, but is now just an average posh coffee shop in a beautiful setting. Four stars is a bit on the generous side. This could be brilliant with a bit more work and imagination.
