Today I felt lost not knowing what to do or where to go for help and assistance for my son. I approached the councillor at Maitland police station who referred me to the Cape Mental Health Centre. I drove there not having an appointment. While sitting outside their building I phoned the centre, explained my situation and my call was forwarded to Ms Kulshum who invited me inside and listened to my story. With her advice and assistance I could get the Maitland police to assist me in bringing my son who was adamant and showned signs of aggression and retaliation towards me, to have him admitted to Grooteschuur Hospital again. Wade is 28 years old. He was admitted in December 2019 for a mental /and or psychotic disorder for 18 days where he was discharged and stayed with his dad to recover. On Monday he insisting that he wants to go home, that he has no freedom, and doesn't want to see me or his dad and neither his brother. He skipped his medication a few times and started drinking alcohol again with friends. Today was the second time that I had to drive behind a police van with my son being in the back of the van. I am now just grateful that I did what I did and most appreciative for the help and assistance from the people mentioned above. Thank you! Its not over yet and my son hates me right now.

I have just spoken to a wonderful lady Sister Koesela(hope i spelled correctly).I asked her for advise on some personal matter regarding a family member of mine. I felt so discouraged before i spoke to her, but with her soft spoken voice she made me feel Much at ease. She gave me the assurance that there is people that still care and there is hope to help my family member. She told me she will refer my case to her manager. Thank you Sister Koesela, you are God send.
