If your into visiting architectural gems. This is one of Cape Towns finest. A must see inside. An exemplary piece of classical architecture built by the early settlers of Cape Town. Circulation is around the dome with books dating back to early 19th century.

This is such a beautiful building. Really underrated. Great place to have quiet time to read a book in a wood paneled hall. Great place for events and weddings. Come hungry for knowledge! Staff are welcoming and helpful. Loads of instagrammable sports. Please support this place with a donation before you leave!

Worth a visit if you like things off the beaten track. See if you can go upstairs and out onto the roof. Great views of the city bowl and the gardens from there.
