Leslie is an ex SAAF pilot and flew the Super Frelon helicopter until 1980. He then transferred his skills and tenacity as a pilot into starting a niche engineering business from his garage at home. Frelon Engineering started with one machine, a second hand Okuma CNC turning lathe which still sits on the shop floor today turning out components. Frelon now produces a wide range of high-precision CNC turned and milled components to customers specification and have substantial experience in stainless steel components as well as mild steel, aluminium and a wide range of plastics.
