Elretha Olivier

Dr Janse Van Rensburg is the best at what she does. She delivered both my beautiful children. She is very informative and easy to speak to. She is the true definition of dedicated. Both my babies were born prematurely so a Dr like herself was a perfect match for my family and I. We will be forever greatful for the work she does every single day. Her secretary Judy compliments her so well. I will defninately recommend her everyone :-)

Pros: She is a very sweet gynaecologist and someone you can have light hearted conversations with. I had an issue with one of the accounts ladies and they tactfully sorted out the issue early on. Wonderful and kind secretary. Cons: More serious topics like my preferences around giving birth was not openly discussed. I also had no idea if she was pro natural birth or not. Sometimes the appointments feel a bit rushed. Her accounts department is so awful as they incorrectly billed me twice for a post birth follow-up consultation and called my medical aid provider a liar over the phone. Turns out, my medical aid was telling the truth. After a lot of back and forth, the accounts department repaid me the figure that was double charged. So sad that I had to go through this while taking care of my newborn.

I searched high and low for a good FEMALE OB/GYN and I'm so happy that I got to have Karina as my doctor! Leading up to the birth of my son she was absolutely fantastic...she set me at ease during my first pregnancy and answered every question so thoroughly and patiently. She was alert to any possible complication and would rather be cautious when it came to the health of my baby. During the birth - I cannot begin to describe my appreciation for her kindness and gentle demeanor. She got me though some really tough moments...literally holding me in a bear hug during the spinal block to calm me! My husband and I are so grateful to her...our baby is healthy and safely here thanks to an amazing doctor and person. She goes above and beyond for her patients and her calm demeanor sets you at ease completely. But most importantly, she is excellent at what she does. She is a highly skilled, talented and (a rare find) intuitive surgeon!

I met doctor Karina 4 years ago when she delivered my nephew and I was so amazed by her. When it came to be my turn to have my first born she was with me from beginning to end. And also when I had my 4 miscarriages she was very comforting I telling me that I wasn't my fault. She is the best OB/GYN that I could ever have asked for.
