I love it. The location is spot on, helped us discover a place we never knew existed. Very nice ice cream, the standard doesn't drop at because we've visited all the branches.

Found hair in my ice cream. Yuck. Looks like pubic hair. Still no reply seems like I'll have to go to social media with this! If hair can get into the ice cream I wonder what else can get into the ice cream. During times of covid you'd think they would take extra safety and hygiene precautions. I'm still disgusted.

I found this place on google. It was a bit disappointing to find only 2 vegan options out of there substantial offering. I tried a scoop of each in a cup. They were both really good. I would have given 5 stars for the quality of the ice cream, good value, the unique venue and the very friendly staff. My only real gripe is that the vegan ice creams I tried were so overladen with sugar that I'm convinced I'm heading for diabetes. Many vegans are also health conscious and to pack so much sugar into an ice cream that is compassionate towards animals, is not compassionate towards humans who want to eat healthy treats. I had a runny nose for several hours afterwards as my body tried to eliminate all the toxic sugar. Maybe I am an oddball, but I gave up putting sugar in tea and coffee more than 17 years ago. I wonder if the owners realise how many diseases are caused by sugar. Just google it. I spoke to the managress about this. She was really nice and helpful and grateful for the feedback. I did find it rather odd that she told me that most of the non-vegan ice creams used stevia, a plant based natural sweetener and yet for some reason the vegan ice creams were destroyed with an excessive amount sugar. I will definitely go back there when I find out that they are no longer using sugar in the vegan ice creams. I will also bring some of my friends along.

Kirsten's itself is good but the live music adjacent was too loud. Perhaps if the artist was incredibly good it would warrant the volume levels employed but good cover versions are a Tiktok dime a dozen today and not worth blasting over patrons disinterested ears. Edit: Understandable that tenants have 'no control' over the music but a proactive business owner would monitor their customer experience and give feedback to who does (the person they pay rent to) with the goal of improving their business and revenue. Granted I may just be one person who thinks the above though. But if turnover goes down during 'concert' times this might be a place to look.

Underwhelmed. Beautiful setting, great views, good ice-cream and poor customer care. What a pity! A lack of communication around pricing of the different options, tables not cleaned, no umbrellas put up for a bit of shade, no urgency to serve customers and a very dodgy parking ticket validation system. No thanks - I won't be back in a hurry.

Honestly they make the best ice-cream ever. The flavours are rich and full, the ice-cream itself is creamy and smooth, and I love that they actually put real dark chocolate pieces, chocolate chips, blueberries, shortbread, vanilla beans etc. In the ice-cream. Trying every flavour is definitely on my bucket list.

Not the cheapest ice cream you will get in Cape Town but you will enjoy whatever flavour you choose. There is a good selection of flavours although on the day I visited there were few fruity ones. If you like chocolate though you will be in your element. Then you can sit in a beautiful setting amongst the vineyards and take in the beauty that is Cape Town. Make sure you are in no rush to be anywhere as you will not want to leave anytime soon.
