I supported a function there tonight the food very disappointing & I had to ask for condiments. The rump steak I ordered was tough, sinuey & under cooked. I had high expectations going in there after hearing some rave reviews. The service left a lot to be desired. The only thing my waitress was interested in was refilling my drink, she didn't bother to check if everything was OK with our meals. The cheese sauce I ordered was running & felt like something out of a packet. Really disappointing I don't usually say this but I won't recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent food especially the Trinchada... Succulent steak in the most flavourful sauce in true Portuguese style. Good all round experience
Back to the good old days of Madiera back in the day. The new owners have done it justice and brought back the great food of the past. Great to see. Excellent service and food.

My friend and I had breakfast today...large breakfast and omelet respectively. It was delicious and filling. We had pub lunches 2 weeks ago and it was also delicious. It's definitely on our "go to" list!
