Worst place to get your maid, Marvellous Maids will be very sweet to you up until they take your advance payment & deposit, most maids have no prior experience and lack even basic cleaning skills, we tried 2 different maids from Marvellous Maids & both had no cleaning experience let alone know how to cook. If your not happy with the maids or the service Marvellous Maids provide you will not get your deposit or advance back & on the contrary you would get blamed for being so picky. Best thing to do is advertise yourself on Gumtree & ask for references from the maid.

I want to leave my old comment below to show that yes, I was an unhappy client. I do however have to change my rating, thank you Marvellous Maids for your attention and addressing the matter. We have started using them again on the odd occasion with positive results. (Old Rating Comments) Not sure how much screening is done on the lady's they use but the one we had today was here for 4 hours and my house looks the same as when I left for work this morning. I now must get someone else in to clean my house the next day. I will not use Marvellous Maids Tableview again.

There is nothing marvellous about Marvellous Maids; a lot more expensive than other agencies and service as well as calibre of staff doesn’t warrant this. They refuse to let you have the same worker so continuously having to show / train someone new which is time consuming & not great for the worker either as no continuity. No communication even when worker isn’t coming or really late. It’s been an unpleasant, time consuming & costly 2 ½ weeks and I don’t recommend this service. Jann Porter

Brackenfell, Cape Town: Two ladies in a two bedroom flat and there are still cobwebs hanging from every light. Rugs was lifted to clean where convenient and even the wall clock had dust on top of it. The windows were washed with dirty water and left dirtier than before. R760 just to have the two ladies fighting with each other the whole day instead of cleaning. I feel that my money was stolen by this service. (After speaking to the franchise owner, she made it clear that she has no interest in helping us or solving the problem. With great hostility she called our case a “grudge purchase”. This speaks for the attitude of the whole franchise.)
