This artist owned and run gallery is conveniently situated in the art and antiques hub of Church Street, crossing Long Street, in Cape Town. It features a continual group exhibition that changes regularly as well as solo and two person exhibitions. Nel art gallery specializes in contemporary art, from painting to sculpture, lens based work to installation. The building itself is a work of art. A late Victorian gem built as a wine merchant's store in 1901. It still retains some architectural features that reflect its first incarnation as a wine store. It is no museum however, it is light filled and functions exceedingly well as an art gallery
