Oceans Economy was founded on the idea to develop a successful and sustainable aquaculture company in South Africa and to unlock the huge potential that the South African oceans have to offer. By combining a unique blend of expertise, we at Oceans Economy have begun our adventure by embarking on a journey to cultivate Seaweed and Abalone along the coast of Southern Africa. We are in the initial phase of data gathering, creating relationships and growing our network both locally and offshore, with both business and goverment. In addition, we have embarked on a pilot project to gain insight into farming marine organisms sustainably and in such a way that they have a positive impact on the local environment. Our vision is to create a symbiotic relationship with the ocean through innovative, sustainable and environmentally neutral practices.
