StateoftheART is a boutique 'bricks-and-clicks'​ gallery which aims to inspire a new culture of art buying; where contemporary art is affordable, everybody is welcome, artists are championed and customers can easily find and buy art they love - no matter their taste. StateoftheART brings the gallery experience to you; discover talented emerging and contemporary artists working in South Africa through our niche online gallery. All of our artists have been carefully selected by the StateoftheART Curatorial Panel; instead of showcasing thousands of artists, we choose to represent only a limited number so that you can be sure of the quality of the contemporary art for sale. Importantly, the majority of our proceeds from a sale are given to the artists who create these works, so when you buy art from StateoftheART you’re directly supporting our artists. Our online platform is complemented by a brick-and-mortar art gallery in Cape Town; you'll find us at 50 Buitenkant Street, in close proximity to The Book Lounge, District Six Museum, The A4 International Arts Centre, The Fugard Theatre (we're in good company) Haas - and Truth Coffee, amongst other noteable destinations. For those unable to visit in person, our full inventory of available work can be reserved and purchased securely online through our e-commerce platform, and delivered to your door (or desk) worldwide.
