Kurt is super knowledgeable and patient. Other than that, he is an incredible surfer. Without a doubt, the best surf lessons I've ever had in SA. I am definitely going back, and I would 100% recommend to anyone!

Beautiful place! Love the restaurants on the beach front. Easy access to the shops as well as the main beach. Really one of the finest waterfronts in the cape.

Kurt is the best, I absolutely love going surfing with him in Big Bay as he has the best local knowledge, always knows which waves to go for and how to progress. He is an amazing teacher and I highly recommend him as my surfing has improved greatly (and the Atlantic side ain't always easy ). Plus he is a really cool guy!

I took some lessons with Kurt a while back. He's super patient, very knowledgeable, and I was up on my feet in no time with a bit of guidance from him. Board and wetsuits were included in the lessons, and he has everything from short to long boards for every level. Really good intro to surfing from a guy who's truly passionate about it.

I would definitely recommend Surf Big Bay if you’re looking to improve your surfing skills whilst enjoying an amazing view on Table Mountain. I had a couple of private lessons with Kurt who is a very patient, passionate and experienced instructor. Give it a try, you won’t regret it !
