At the Angel Gown Initiative (NPO: 203-283) we charitably repurpose preloved wedding and evening gowns into beautiful Angel Gowns (bereavement gowns) for infants who do not survive their journey into this world. At a time of utmost grief and sorrow, an Angel Gown is a small but deeply meaningful way to alleviate some of a family’s difficulties and great sadness. We assist bereaved families with an important practical issue: how to provide a passed infant with the greatest dignity and grace. We have formal agreements in place with both Mediclinic and Netcare to distribute our Angel Gowns within their hospitals. With their assistance we have already been able to spread our Angel Gowns to more than 20% of their respective hospitals nationwide.
