It is an amazing experience. Coz I got to witness an shooting star while I was cuddling with my girlfriend. It made the movie of queen so much more amazing and the star is to die for.

Absolutely amazing experience. Watching a movie under the stars at the Galileo is everything you want it to be. The picture quality is clear, the sound was excellent. It does get pretty cold, so carry a jacket. However the blankets are available to rent at R10 each. It really was an awesome experience and I'd definitely do it again.

If you haven't experienced the Galileo yet, you are missing out! The absolute perfect summer night out, under the stars, dedicated and hard working staff, with fresh air in abundance. They've recently added drive-in movies and a date night, so look out for that too. Put this on your to do list every season, you will not be disappointed. One piece of advice is to never underestimate the Cape Town weather, be sure to bring along something warm to wear or an extra blanket.

A must to experience. Take the option with back rest and blanket. Kirstenbosch has amazing views to top it off. Bring cash as there are vendors. Can pack own picnic as well.

This was lovely night under the stars, it would be better if the place was more wind protected. Blankets and chairs are available to hire and the bathrooms are easy to access.

My kids love the open air cinema! So far we've been to the one at Newlands and at Kirstenbosch and really enjoyed both. Try to go through early though and get a nice spot near the front.. And pay that little bit extra for the seat with the backrest.. It's worth the money. Food vendors are available but you are allowed to pack your own picnic basket so you can fill it with whatever snacks you want.
