I've been looking forward to this place, and finally, an opportunity arose. I couldn't wait. Waited outside, nobody to assist, by the way, 5 waiters walked past me while standing at the unmarked entrance. After waiting for 8mins, somebody walks past me saying that somebody will assist me soon. After waiting for another few mins, another waiter approaches me and asks me if I'd like a table. Surely it's obvious that I've been waiting for a table. So I tell the waiter that I'd like a table for 2, to which the waiter replies that they are fully booked. -shock and horror, gasp- Could he have not told me this when he asked me if I wanted a table? Anyhow, I shan't return, I've been looking forward to this place for the longest time. Sadly, will never give it another shot.
Service shocking, food disgusting. Toilets filthy. Whole experience disappointing.
I made a booking yesterday (30th August 2014) for 10 guests for 17:00. When we were shown to our table, the waiter did not bring a drinks menu. I had to go and actually get menus and give it out to the other guests. We asked for a apitizer however when the waiter brought the buns,he brought 9 when there was 10 pp.He gave it in such a manner that it felt awkward and made it uneasy.Pls note that after the waiter took our drinks order, we ended up waiting 15-20 minutes for 1single beer. Food - I ordered a T-Bone steak but honestly was one of the worst pieces of steak I have ever eaten in my life. After crutiny I was convinced that this T-Bone had been defrosted in microwave and tossed onto a grill.The piece was compeltely overcooked and had alot of sinue.I did complain to the manager however after speaking to the kitchen they said that they did not defrost it.This is unaccetable for a high graded resturant. My father ordered a 300g Sirlon - Presentation was terrible and the steak was overcooked. Given the situation, hosting guests from pretoria, the last thing I wanted to do was put a damen on the evening. I will never recommend anyone and has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
2 stars for it's location & view otherwise zero! Tables dirty, menus dirty & falling apart, service extremely slow & the food was horrible. Such a change from a few years ago when we came here, won't be going back!!
