First time watching a movie at this venue. Nice to see Covid protocols practice. All the seats were marked, temperatures taken. Place looks a bit weathered but still pleasant enough. Enjoyed the experience.

So awesome to go back today after so long! Looking lovely with all the plants etc. Such friendly staff. Really enjoyed the movie and will go back soon to support them again.

Quaint, old-school cinema vibes! You can have a glass of wine while you watch your movie which conetely makes up for the fact that the cinema is dated. Good snack selection available and lovely outside area for a pre-movie drink.

Pros: alcohol with you in the cinema! Food that isn’t just popcorn! Prices to die for! Dinner specials! Great films! Social distancing! Contact tracing! Cons: no cup holders in the cinema ️

Fantastically charming old-style but stylishly decorated cinema, with art house and more mainstream options, as well as lots of events. This place is not your average cinema - go early and enjoy a glass of wine or a coffee and a snack in the beautiful outdoor area. The movies, as well as popcorn and snacks are much cheaper than at the big cinema chains, but it feels more expensive! You can even get a shot of gin or vodka in your slushpuppy ;) Seriously, this place is about to become your favorite cinema! It's a Cape Town institution, so pay them a visit ASAP!

Recently saw Toorland. Incredible locally made Afrikaans movie about the Knysna forest people in the 1930s. Safe social distancing seating. A lovely outing.
