Cathkin Cottage is situated in a beautiful and serene Bergview Estate. It's a perfect little getaway from the daily hustle and bustle. You have a variety of activities to do around in the area, as it is ideally situated. Whether you want to do a hike to the stunning Blue Grotto, go an outride, or see some breathtaking views during Canopy Tours, there's definitely something for everyone. Cathkin Cottage's host, Roger, is fantastic and very helpful!! The unit was quite spacious and very clean. And breakfast was delicious . I would definitely recommend it!!

I had the pleasure of organizing my perfect birthday getaway at Leila’s beautiful Bed & Breakfast this year. I had called in and booked a few rooms for my friends and myself. I asked lots of questions and Leila was just very accommodating and patient. The rooms were all beautiful decorated, the linen was fresh and the bed was very comfortable. Each room is ensuite with a little fridge and shower. The location of Cathkin Cottage is absolutely perfect, restaurants, arts and craft shops, hiking trails and other adventure activities are all within reach. I wanted to note here that my friends and I had an absolutely wonderful and comfortable stay. We felt like we had our own little home and we had lovely conversations at night with some wine. Only after our stay did we realize that there was no TV, which I think is actually great! To chat and to be within the moment with friends, time that we should all cherish. Lastly the breakfast was really yummy and the hike we did around by Drakensberg Sun hotel was absolutely breathtaking. A big thank you goes to Leila for my yummy surprise birthday chocolate, thank you for going that extra mile with your personal touch. A lovely birthday weekend spent at the Cathkin Cottage in the berg, one which I will never forget.

The four of us really enjoyed our stay at Cathkin Cottage. The owner is a really nice guy, the rooms are very clean and the breakfast is great. You have a great view and can enjoy the nice pool.

Lovely peaceful place and very tasty and different menu for each breakfast. Run and owned by an hotelier of the old school who knows what people want and what service is.

This is without doubt one of the best BnB's I've been to. Each room is bespoke and spacious. The breakfast was more like a feast, with options. The pool is clean and has lots of outdoor areas. The design is great, WIFI is great, we had a fridge, tea a full tub and shower. We had electric blankets and fans - everything was just perfect. Our room was overlooking the drakensberg mountain, which is a view second to none. The Staff was really amazing, they were helpful and attentive. I booked on my way back from a proposal, i notified the hotel i would be making a proposal and asked if they could decor the room for us. Free of charge, they spread flowers on the best and put a bottle of wine for us. That was really great! I really have no complaints. Thank you for the memories.
