Had a very beautiful experience, the reception received from the gate to the warmth of people serving lunch which was free and the best was Swamiji's immense love for people.

A nightmare to the residents of the 703! Looking for God or enlightenment, sorry! can't be found here. Between devotees that don't care and staff that has managed to alienate the residents that live in the area; this place does nothing for the community it actually lives with. The only upside is that the neighbourhood (made up of Hindus, Muslims and Christians) have banned together to share a strong universal dislike for the ashram. Too bad this is in Durban South Africa and not on the borders of India and Pakistan. Or Israel and Palestine. They are currently doing Ramayan week. Extremely horrific. The road is filthy! Selfish drivers are parking half off the pavement and half on the road, making it impossible for cars and pedestrians alike to move freely. Inconsiderate people park their large vehicles - on what little space left on the road; holding conversations with arrogant people working at the ashram, forcing people to wait for them to finish up their conversations and move so we can FINALLY pass! All in the afternoon mind you, on a weekday, after work!!! But that's ok. It's only for a few days afterall. But here comes the straw to break the camel's back, the security hired to protect the cars of the devotees and guests are drunk and have been using the walls of the resident's homes as toilets while children walk on the road! Yes it's happening in broad daylight!!! The very same "security guards" swear at the ladies when called out for using said walls as toilets. Residents have called the ashram to inform them what is going on, but it seems to fall to deaf ears.
