Baris Monger is beyond delightful! What a special place. Curated and executed with finesse, passion and vision. So much attention to detail, the establishment is run in a comfortable yet incredibly professional manner and the quality of everything is top notch! Thank you for a beautiful relaxing afternoon.

Baris is the most “upscale” of the three cheese farms in the area in our opinion. The most beautiful grounds with the small garden and pet friendly. The only one that offered a wine and cheese pairing: however, I would give the actually tasting only a 3 in terms of experience with a 5 for taste. No one explained the wines or the cheese or what goes with what which was disappointing. But, the food presentation is lovely. The popcorn ice cream was the biggest hit for the kids!

What a delightful little spot! Everything was delicious, from the home-made lemonade to the cheese and wine tasting. All the cheese and condiments are made there and produce is grown in their beautiful little fruit, vegetable and herb garden. There was only one person serving all the tables, yet the service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. What impressed most was all the thought and attention to detail that goes into everything they serve, there was even a cookie and flavoured milk tasting for children with cute touches like a goat-shaped biscuit. Hospitality at it best, definitely one of the better establishments in Clarens!

The gardens are amazing. The shop go on an empty tummy. We bought the cheese with herbs and garlic. Took it for afternoon sundowner. Absolutely fabulous.

An absolute gem, PLEASE visit Baris Monger for cheese tasting heaven if you’re in the area. I left with a bundle of cheeses from the shop after tasting them - it was hard not to buy them all but I had to be realistic about my average cheese consumption. Let the pictures convince you to visit if I can’t - between the sheer deliciousness and the gorgeous garden and scenery, you can’t go wrong. It must be wonderful in the sun, but we went on a very grim day weather-wise and still had a wonderful time.
