Beside the tons of mosquitoes that are able to penetrate through your clothes, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Spacious camp sites and has all basics on sites. Toilets, showers and water is available. Wood for fire is sold around the camp site. Private entrance from campsite to the beach also available. See

The staff is great and the location is right next to the waves. There gave us a tour when we came and got easily familiarized with the location. There also serve food and drinks. The only downturn is that it gets very packed (i guess it is great for the business though).

Harased by owner inanda, drunk as a lord trying to extort more money out of us, after we had an agreement and payed, two weeks after we set camp on easter monday. First three days of our stay, zero electricity, 5 days after our stay zero water....now day 14 no water, and we get harased by the owner while she is completely intoxicated.

First of all, understand that it is a camp site, not a hotel. We spent 6 nights there on our honeymoon, and honestly we were more than happy. The camp sites themselves are kept clean, they are spacious, there is power provided (mostly), the camp site is a quick walk that opens straight on to the beach, and it's a quick walk across the river to other viby places like African Kitchen, Red Carpet Roots and other spaza shops for local supplies. The only downsides are the mozies (if you camp IN the forest) , the power that is sometimes off, and that the showers sometimes struggle to get warm water. Otherwise, the bathrooms are cleaned everyday and many camp sites are very private (apart from stray cows). The manager is also very friendly and quick to help if needed.

Now camping here for 9 days. Beautiful scenery and small beach. Camp owners, Fanie and Inanda always friendly and helpful. Need to point out cold showers and no electricity bothered us the most. Also no ice available anywhere in Coffeebay and surrounds. Only one person can shower at a time, otherwise the water gets very little and no in between - water either extremely hot or cold. Lots of people coming in to campsite selling stuff. Fence need serious upgrade. Beautiful beach and the campsites are protected against wind by beautiful bush and trees. Fire places needs upgrades - and it is very low on the ground.
