This was my first visit there. From the outside it doesn't seem all that interesting, but I was pleasantly surprised once I entered. One can sit either inside or in the garden, some spots are shady and some less so. We found a nice table under a tree from which we watched birds feeding. We were there merely for a light snack and therefore I can't give a proper food review. We both had a roosterkoek with jam. Fresh, warm and delicious. They have options for vegetarians on their menu (see photos), 3 starter choices, 1 salad, 2 pizzas, 1 pasta, 1 sandwich etc. , and of course, sides. Friendly staff and clean toilets. Personally, I prefer this hidden spot to the overly commercialized Nanaga farm stall further up the road. I hope to be back.

If you not local do not go there the waitress walked passed my table 3 times i had to fetch a drink myself twice. They gave me pasta dish not even checking if it was ok . Really discussted.

Hi management, Had a nice night planed , for the family, we ordered pizza that was good for the boys, then we got our chedder cheese steak with mushroom sause, and was very dissapoined, it was so small for the price i was paying, and only got 10 chips with it, all extras would be at extra cost, and worst of all !!!!the steak was ice cold, please guys think of your customers and locals, I paid R700 and was not happy at all, and was the only costumer in the resturant!!????might come have a drink at you establishment again but won't eat there again. Rustic - cosy indoor and outdoor seating. Good service, the best restaurant in Colchester. Also sells jams and preserves - drinks etc.
