It is a calming area. Occasionally there are lots of people, dogs, and horses; but most times (obviously depending on time of day) it is a lovely quiet place to walk, talk, or reflect.

From Joburg, visiting family nearby this was an obvious choice. Early enough so parking wasn’t a problem. We had 711 participants on the day but it didn’t feel crowded. An interesting course with stunning views of the mountain at the start then through the forrest, a small section doubling up and crossing some bridges but do watch the tree roots. I got caught and took a tumble. Thanks to volunteer Liza for having a first aid kit up and ready. We’ll be back.
