We had a fantabulous 3 night weekend there. Our cottage was perfect with no electricity and no signal and everything that we really needed. Real peace. The reserve itself is very scenic and everything is very well maintained.

Very pleasant destination for a day out to escape the buzz of city life. Clean ablutions and good braai facilities. The R30 entrance fee is well justified and I would definitely recommend this reserve to anyone who wants to relax for a couple of hours over the weekend. There are also overnight campsites.

Lovely tranquil piece of nature, quiet. Hope they'll open the day visitor option again as Covid is calming down. Well situated for a picnic, walk or just a few hours in nature, even if you don't have a whole weekend to spend there.

The hike (follow the gorge sign boards) was absolutely breathtaking. The scenery and the path itself was as natural as it gets. I have never experienced such a wild and challenging hike as i did at Cumberland
