It was roughly 4 years ago, when I found Dr Kaplan’ practice. My mission was to fix my smile, ruined during my early teens. Therefore the day I found Dr Kaplan, he took over my mission of needing to implant a front tooth, with ease, compassion & the highest level of professionalism I have not seen in my life. He immediately did his own assessments; assembled a team of doctors such as a periodontist and an orthodontist to work on restoring my smile. I felt so blessed over the years to see how Dr Kaplan’s coordination & solutions resulted, in not just a healthier mouth, but cured gums; corrected overbites and an implant. I am eternally grateful that through his persistent care & insights, I have manage to regain my confidence and smile. May God bless him!

I, Robert Enzenhofer, age 48 years , in South Africa since 1989 emigrated from Austria experienced that my 6 top front teeth got shorter dramatically. I visited different Dentists on a regular basis with my worry what to do to save my own teeth and no advice given. I had a Creek Dentist, Norwegean Dentist and Chinise Dentist over the past 26 years in South Africa. I then asked my Dentist to get transferred to a Prosthodontist on my last visit 18 month back This results would have been a very expensive solution with wrong outcome at the end (I realised now) I then looked at the yellow pages on internet around Johannesburg for other solutions and diagnoses where I luckily found Dr Gerald Kaplan in 127 Ivy Rd, Norwood with an immediately appointment 2 hours after my call. I then took with me the impressions of my gums and teeth from the first Prosthodontist, I had have done before, which Dr Kaplan checked. Dr Kaplan immediately realised and found the solution to my problem what was the cause of my 6 short upper front teeth. He then contacted same time Dr Esra, an specialised Orthodontist. Same day Dr Kaplan and Me went to Dr Esra and found the proper solution what makes me today a happy smilling Person again. All started end of March 2015 and with all the help from Dr Gerald Kaplan and Dr Esra I got soon bracings fitted to my teeth and a provision on my upper front teeth done. About 18 month later with regular appointments and ajustments done I got all sorted out with lower costs and much better results done by both Specialists, Dr Kaplan and Dr Esra I can recommend to everyone with dental problems in any age group. The reviews on Dr G Kaplan are the reason i chose him, however my experience today left a sour taste in my mouth, not only was he dismissive towards me but he made me feel like i was wasting his time, upon arrival not only was there a mix up with my appointment time but the consultation fee as well, i advised DR Kaplan that i had two holes that needed fillings and that there was one tooth that was painful and over and above this i asked for advise on a way forward regarding the shape of my teeth because I wanted to have crown implants for the front teeth, instead of assisting me he told me that he i needed to see an orthodontist and that he cannot see any holes in my teeth and was not going to assist with cleaning them, i walked away 15min later upset and appalled in the way in which he addressed me, he was condescending in the manner in which he spoke to me and told me that i should appreciate the "sound advice" he was giving me which was to visit another Dr, what part of "i don’t see any holes go visit another Dr" would be considered as sound advice? especially when you have a patient that you are taking money from but won’t even help with the fillings or the painful tooth? you took my money without even trying to help me and i feel robbed and disappointed that i trusted any of the reviews on here, Respect every human being you come in contact with because i did not come to you for a favour i was willing and able to pay for any procedure i needed but you were not willing to help me, I was nearly in tears in the manner in which I was dismissed and treated as an inconvenience to his time from the very onset of my appointment.
