They failed my friend 4 times to get his learners, one kids screen froze and they said he will have to pay again for another test and its not their problem! - absoloute scam artists!

The place is small. Long queues just for payment. There are no shelters to accommodate the clients for sunny and rainy weather. The building needs to be extended there's space at the back. In the meantime they can put tents for the shade. Theres no air con inside the building so it's hot. On a lighter note, the staff is friendly.

Online booking for drivers license renewal at 11:45, I arrived 1 hour early at 10:45, I paid and left at 15:00. Process is very slow, also take note if you have any traffic fines, they will need to be paid before you can pay for your booking. So prepare to pay more than just the renewal fee of R228. I had to pay R1210 for a ticket for expired license from almost 2 years ago.

The testing expert who supervised my driving test is completely corrupted. Prior the appointment, I was suggested to pay him 2'500.- ZAR for succeeding the test. Since I refused to buy a driving license, the expert turned to have a very arrogant attitude. And guess what : test failed within 4 minutes ! The only major mistakes were Obs. (for disqualifying me without external witness to argue). It's too easy to mark so many Obs. at 5 points each for reaching 50 penalties within just 4 minutes. I refused to sign such abuse but he forced me to do so ...again with this arrogant attitude for not having bribed him prior the test. To justify how corrupted are inspectors working at that DLTC, I decided to attach my testing report as a supporting justification.

Awful!! Had a 10h30 appointment, completed my renewal at 14h06... not the best experience at all and having an appointment and being there an hour beforehand as instructed made no difference whatsoever. No chairs for the elderly to sit on outside the gate before you get in which was 2 hour wait alone.... thank goodness I'm done for 5 years although I do need to go and collect it in 8 weeks time ......

It's the same nonsense as always. You get there, you queue and then 2 hours later when your turn comes up you're told that you need something else. I would recommend: 1. Have a copy of your ID and your driver's licence. 2. If you wear glasses (and I can't stress this enough), get a driver's licence optical clearance certificate from an optician. 3. Remember to have CASH to pay at their tills. Good luck.

What a nightmare. No parking and traffic cops writing fines for people who parked on opposite sidewalk. What was 5 min of effort took 4 hours. Staff is apathetic as hell and no social distancing.
