Place close, while it show open on website, old building and surroundings dirty and gardens a mess..no need to waste your time driving there. Museum close!

Well worth a visit here. The staff need to he a bit more friendly, but the story of Uitenhage is told here with the historical pieces on display. My grandfathers drum set is also on display here and it really is nostalgic to walk through this old building. One can smell the history in the scent of the interior and hear it in the creaks of the wooden floors. Highly recommend.
