Atlas Trucking is a division of Scrap Metals which was established in 1961 by Serge Bega. In 1984 Serge was joined by his two sons, Serge(Junior) and Peter, later in 1993 his youngest son Max joined the family concern. In the past 18 years the business has thrived from a single "​ bucket shop "​ to over 20 branches throughout KZN. We have the infrastructure and resources to deal with all minor and major jobs. The core business of Atlas Scrap Metals is to procure, process and supply scrap metal to foundries for smelting. Metals are purchased from vendors, agents and various large companies. The metals are then processed and resold to be recycled. Processing is done at the head office by means of shearing and baling the materials for container loading and then sent off for smelting. Atlas Scrap Metals has its sights set beyond the horizon and are looking to branch out further with setting up more branches in KZN and beyond, which birthed a new division named Atlas Trucking, which offers a cost effective, reliable and efficient service to our customers. Atlas Trucking has a strong foot print in the trucking industry, with over 120 vehicles ranging from Heavy to light haulage trucks, and bakkies, we at Atlas literally have the infrastructure to move anything to anywhere, with-in the Republic of South Africa and Beyond.
