Janet has been my hairdresser for the past few years, and even after having moved up to Hilton I still make the trip down to Hillcrest to have my hair done with Jan. I always leave feeling like a new person when Jan has worked her magic on my hair - On top of that Jan's friendly and compassionate personality is food for the soul! I couldn't recommend Jan more. The whole Team at Avant Garde are friendly and welcoming - Having your hair done there is simply a treat.

Yvette has been doing my hair for over 25yrs. She has supported me through losing all my hair due to chemotherapy. When I finally had hair again, Yvette styled the wisps so I could feel like a girl again. The atmosphere in the salon is so welcoming you could sit there for hours. I travel from Queensburgh to Hillcrest to see Yvette. I highly recommend Avant Garde. The head and neck massages from Doreen are phenomenal. Do yourself a favour and make an appointment. You will not regret it.

Undoubtedly the best salon in then Upper Highway area!! Yvette has an eye for great colour combinations and a blow wave above all others. Her assistants at the wash basins give such a great head an neck massage you can be forgiven for thinking you booked a massage and not a hair treatment!
