The beach is extremely littered with pollution. The community could do a better job cleaning up.

It looks totally different from what you see on their website. Just a park with a little dam. It's difficult even to find an entrance. Went with kids and nothing was entertaining there. Good for a brawl.

It's not the best but nice for a simple trip with friends and family.

1.8km circular trail around the dam and a bird hide a few metres from the parking lot. The hide is one of the better maintained Ezemvelo hides - relatively clean. The trail was level and easy to walk except for a tree blocking the far end (which looked like it had fallen in the recent storms) but could clamber through, over and under. Could not shake the security concerns, so overall an uneasy experience - the fence on the Eastern side is down and several items of clothing seen on the fence along the way. It is clear that it is a spot where vagrants live. Be safe - go in a group!
