Went for a morning picnic ,the place looks a bit unkept but the wildlife made up for it...I'm sure the kids would love it...some of the picnic spots were a bit overgrown and had me feeling a bit scared. I definitely wouldn't go picnic or walk a-bout on my own \u200d️\u200d️. But an overall quiet , tranquil reserve. Worth a visit. I'd love to visit during a weekend when there's other people there...we went on a Monday morning.

Was an ideal place to picnic - my kids went on a one of their trails abt 5km, 10km return, a pretty good workout. Got to see Zebra & antelope (not sure which family it belongs to) up close - Toilet facility was very clean

A beautiful gem hidden right on our doorstep. Nature at it's best with history to peek your interests. Attended a guided nature hike in a safe and secure reserve with highly knowledgeable guides. A lovely quaint coffee shop Is on offer with delectable treats to nourish the soul after a walk amongst mother nature. Definitely recommend spending a morning there. Ps: braai facilities, picnic spots and wheelchair friendly walks are available.

Easy trails, cool, lots of zebra and buck. The kids had fun figuring out the routes and creeping up to the animals trying to touch.

Love place to walk, hike or run. Some tough off road cycling and limited game. Lots of bird life. Very well with a visit

Very beautiful, well maintained reserve in the heart of the Durban area. Lots of shady paths on a hot day and zebra and Impala abound. Cycle and walking paths are well sign posted. Coffee kiosk in the car park operates over weekends. Definitely worth a visit for the whole family.

Beautiful spot. It is a place that's good for the soul. The coffee van is just the best, too.

Refreshing break from the suburbs. Great place for hikes and picnics. Home of the famous Steinbank Castle.
