I can’t say enough about how wonderful this experience has been so far for my son. He enjoys that the school has a ton of sports and other after school activities, like the marching band, photography, chess, egaming etc ... The teachers are very involved and work very hard to ensure that if you are behind they catch you up. The teachers connect with students with personal stories and inquire about their students personal lives. They help the grow their minds in learning and help them choose and prepare for the real world. There is ZERO tolerance for bullying and the boys, from all walks of life learn to befriends and support each other. This is a school i would recommend.

I matriculated from this school in 2004, and it was a good school then. I know that the school has grown in leaps and bounds since then. Some things will never change about boys being boys in school, but this school really did their best to ensure their students futures. Not all staff were likeable, but 99% really cared. The opportunities offered to the learners are excellent.

Such an amazing school. At first I hated it (I mean it's school) but now I'm in matric and I look back at my amazing 5 years at Northwood and can't help but smile. With help from this school I've played Two instruments, acted in a musical, played many sports, learnt first aid and even got the opportunity to meet very successful old boys. The opportunities this school has opened for me are endless, it really is the school of choice!

My brother is a Grade 11 student at Northwood Boys and, unsurprisingly, lacked all sort of motivation to study before entering this school. However, since his first interview at the school till now, there has been nothing but improvement in his attitude towards getting better results and his basic well being. The teachers ensure to continuously encourage him as I'm sure they do to other students, and alert the parents of any issues or concerns that they may have for your child. I hope they continue to keep their standards high.
