I was quite disappointed today at the service we received. No doubt Shawarma Palace has the most delicious wrap I have tasted in Durban. Even better is the price. The two with cheese special is super reasonable and I get that special for the whole family most weekends. But today was too much for me. Please owner can you re-educate the staff on cleanliness. They were spilling all the fillings on the serving trays and then re-using those same messed trays. There was some electrical fault and it blew twice before a staff member ran and switched off the mains behind the counter. There was even a small flame on the floor below the counter with the chicken on. Then when I got to the front of the queue the guy chopping the chicken was under the counter and appeared to be chopping the chicken on the floor. He then picked up a 5L ice-cream container full of chicken and dumped it on the chicken counter below the flame and carried on cutting it. I was really horrified because this is how the food we are supposed to eat is treated. He then picked up a toaster and took it into the little backroom. Seems like he may have been toasting the uncooked chicken in the toaster on the floor. Then the lady rolling the wraps before toasting it rolls up my 4 and dips the spatula into the chips oil and then onto the wraps before they were toasted. Like I said I'm a fan of your place and food but the staff needs to be educated because they doing all this in front of the customers.

If i could rate them zero stars i would. Pathetic customer service.my food was not handled properly, one shawarma was burnt and each customer was treated differently, we are all customers we have the right to be treated equally and fairly after all we are paying money for the food so we should expect a decent customer service in return.
