ACTS (A Centre That Serves) is a project that is administered by the Wendy Immelman Charitable Trust a registered Christian non government (NGO) and non profitable organization (NPO) that operates on the South Coast of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal. Our main focus is poverty alleviation through community development initiatives.Over the last three years we have partnered with and provided support to four grass roots community based projects in the poverty stricken semi-rural areas of Nsimbini and Ezimangweni. These projects run Home Based Care programmes, soup kitchens, early childhood development initiatives, a communal garden, sewing projects and arts and crafts. All the projects are run at the coal face by forty eight dedicated community volunteers.
