This place is excellent. Pretty easy course that even novices can get around without too many lost balls. Some greens are a bit bald, but generally pretty good. A pitcher/sand wedge and a putter is all you need to have an hour or so of fun.

For its price and convenient location this is a great everyday course. Playable course and enjoyable 18 holes. No frills but everything you need for some time in the sun.
It's what you'd expect for a R74 round of golf but slightly more enjoyable. The bar is GOOD and the half house is decent as well.
Quite a tricky course. If you land in the rough, don't bother looking for your ball. Fairways and greens in good condition
I was great
I've played this course occasionally over the last 20 years. It is everything one could want from a course layout. It has easy and difficult holes. Tee boxes to suit beginners and club level golfers. Some water hazards, some tree lined fairways, dog legged holes to favor fade or draw, not much elevation change, but not bad for a municipal course. An excellent course on which to learn the game. I watched it go from decent to awful in the space of a few years and remain awful for many years. Now I am glad to say it is moving back towards being decent. The tee boxes and green are now decent but the fairways need a lot of work.
A good Value fir money option. Could be much better if they did some of the simple stuff. The Mashie course is being handled as an afterthought when it could be a great Kids into to golf. Could do so much more with a sponsors advertising model eg. A local business sponsor per hole. Short free Mashie rounds for kids. Was not worth the R61 to introduce my daughter to golf. Left her less interested!
Very bad service. Course is in a terrible condition.Fairways are overgrown. There are never gholf carts available either. Only the bar an people running the gholf shop never disappoints.
