like
They have different species and very friend staff I really enjoyed animal feeding
What a sad , run-down place. Dirty, leaking display tanks, wet floors and a very limited variety of fish - that’s what your R55 entrance fee buys you. The best thing was the amazing view from the boardwalk.
Not, bad for little ones but could be better
Nice little trip to the aquarium today with the family the place is a little run down but that is only because of funding and the recent flooding. The staff are fantastic and it’s well deserved visit which will also benefit the aquarium to. Just a warning that there are no lifts here and a fair few stairs to go up and down.
The facility has been closed due to the second covid19 wave being experienced in South Africa. Stricter lockdown level 1 regulations has been enforced for the festive season with immediate effect as of 14 December 2020. Beaches also closed in the Eastern Cape from 16 December to 4 January 2021
Southern Africa's oldest aquarium, the spot is quite a small little aquarium but has a large enough selection to be well worth the minor entry fee. The seals are pleasant and the penguins delightful. The staff at the center are also very friendly and happy to tell you facts about their animals! (Did you know penguins cant jump?) All in all, well worth the visit if you're near East London and worth the visit if you're looking for something to do
A close one on one with the sea creatures is what makes this aquarium great as we can see the animals from a closer angle
