You can see these trails were laid out with great care. They are not for the faint of heart in places, but the views and natural phenomena they lead you to is well worth the effort. Well maintained paths and any problems (eg fallen trees) were reported for attention. Quirky camps and helpful staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Well marked routes. As with any hike, you have to adjust to your environment, otherwise it can be soul destroying to complain. See the funny side of the adventure and meet the challenges with maturity. We will definitely be back to walk some of the other routes. Thank you Pieta, Percy and Norah.

Amazing hiking trail with well maintained and fully equipped cabins. You will find power and water at all the overnight stops. The scenery is amazing and the game you will see is out of this world.

Really beautiful hiking trail with lots of variety. Lots of ups and downs so some fitness required especially when hiking with full backpack

Did the 3 day hike in December. It was pretty hot, but the trail goes through many valleys with shade and crosses rivers to cool off in. The pathways and cabins are well looked after. It's a pity that no pets are allowed anymore, though. It was one of the things that made the trail attractive for me.

We only did 1 day of the trail. But loved it. Nothings beats the very creative accommodation. Stayed in the vintage train. And the the aloe khaya hut

Found it challenging but definitely worth it. Brace yourself, it gets tough at times but the shorter than average daily distances make it manageable. Beautiful mountains, valleys, cascades, waterfalls and landscape. Hosts visited us at every stop over for info session on the next day. Definitely up there with the best SA can offer!
