This is the main Eskom power feed to Pretoria South. Bearing this in mind, it is amazing that in my 40 years in the area there have been only TWO power failures originating here: in the mid-1980s a transformer burned out and load shedding was performed here in 2012. Pylons and power lines are also regularly maintained and the servitudes kept clear. Eskom can teach the town council a thing or two about maintenance! A negative photo of a part of the substation is attached. Green arrow points to Minerva.
