Prof Paul Wessels is such a gentleman. I nick-name him Prof Fix-It, because he really looks at all the factors to get a holistic overview & always has an "easy" solution. He does not look shocked when something is wrong & puts one at ease entirely - you get the feeling that this guy is always in control and never slips up - Ever. Also he does a papsmere in like 30seconds flat - no discomfort, no weirdness - gets the specimen and sends it off in two ticks! I have never in my life had such a great doctor / specialist treat me. I feel completely honoured to be able to go to him and have him help me get things fixed up. If you are wondering about whether you have the right gynae, it's time to go to Prof Wessels. Seriously, SUCH a gentlemen - and a genius at that! :-)

Great service, the reception staff friendly and welcoming. Prof Wessels has a good way of explaining and is patient, assertive and solution orientated, giving hope and re-assurance by treating you holistically to get to the root of the problem. Thank you.
I am an American living in Maseru, and all previous visits to the OBGYN for me have been in the United States. Although I was visiting an OBGYN in South Africa for the first time and expected some differences, I was appalled at the lack of professionalism and the poor treatment that I received at Fempses. I saw Dr. Cooreman due to an outbreak of HPV that I was having. He asked questions in an incredibly insensitive way, as if I was an idiot and had done something wrong (unbeknownst to him I contracted HPV from my HUSBAND, the first person I had ever slept with, but that shouldn’t have even mattered). He belittled me and was degrading while de-legitimizing my answers to his questions and my past experiences with trustworthy doctors that I had seen before. I was concerned when his information about HPV was quite different from top-quality doctors that I had seen in the past from home (and I would defer to them). Overall, the narcissism and rudeness by which Dr. Cooreman operates under made me decide to walk out mid-appointment. As I left the room, he said “good, then I don’t have to do anything.” He followed me out of the room and as I was walking out the office door, he said “just go on and get out of here already.” I would highly suggest all women find a different OBGYN to visit. I would rather rot in a pit of HPV than return to see Dr. Cooreman.
