A very interesting museum. This is Bloemfontein's oldest building and has a really sizeable collection of pioneer era wagons. This is the place where the Free State Republic was declared just to give an idea of the historical significance. The museum is free but please donate if you can.

It's a real privilege getting a guided tour from a curator who is passionate about her subject. The kids will love all the wagons, but might find the hall a bit boring.
