I had my a-ha moment when I realized that in order to get the ability to do what I want when I want, I can’t be beholden to someone else. That is, I can’t work for someone else because they had a certain set of expectations. In a nutshell, the reason I became a Virtual Assistant was that I wanted to feel freer than what my employers have provided. I didn’t want to work around their schedule, I wanted to work around my schedule. I finally realized no matter how hard I worked, how much hours I spent at the office after everyone else left, or how much education I invested in for myself, my worth was predetermined by another. That didn’t sit well with me. ”
